The HESP Alliance today announced that EZDRM, provider of a Digital Rights Management as-a-Service (DRMaaS) solution, has become a member of the Alliance. EZDRM will bring proven security to high efficiency streaming services and will enthusiastically participate in activities shaping the future of scalable sub-second latency live streaming and fast zapping through the High-Efficiency Streaming Protocol (“HESP”).
The HESP Alliance aims to accelerate standardization and large-scale adoption of HESP. Alliance members can license the technology; integrate it into their video packaging and playback solutions; and develop and share HESP extensions to drive further innovation. A verification program for HESP solutions will ensure interoperability and provide peace of mind for media companies deploying high efficiency streaming services.
EZRDM’s Digital Rights Management as a Service (DRMaaS) solution has been extensively tested in combination with HESP already. It is a straightforward deployment option for media companies looking to provide secure, high efficiency streaming experiences, which fulfill the increasing demands of viewers for scalable interactivity and fast zapping, across any device, both on mobile and the big screen.
“We are excited to join the HESP Alliance and look forward to actively shaping the future of the HESP standard. We are committed to the goal of ensuring our customers’ security solutions can evolve along with their business and content requirements,” said David Eisenbacher, CEO and co-founder at EZDRM. “We continue to expand our range of services, and ensure our DRM solutions support high efficiency streaming across all devices, apps and browsers.”
"We are pleased to have EZDRM, as a leading DRM provider, join the HESP Alliance," said Steven Tielemans, CEO at THEO Technologies and President of the HESP Alliance. “We look forward to working together to provide the quality of experience viewers expect, while improving revenue and copyright control.”
